The Highland Village Rotary Club is proud to announce our 2nd Annual Formal but Tacky Ball. The event will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Royal Affairs Ballroom in Old Town Lewisville.
Highland Village Rotary Club is a volunteer organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world and our community. The Formal but Tacky Ball will raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and other local organizations and charities that we support.
Every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and it is estimated that 1 in 8 women will suffer from this life-threatening disease. Below are the estimated new cases and deaths from breast cancer in the United States in 2009:
New cases 192,370 (females) 1,910 (males)
Deaths 40,170 (females) 440 (males)
